Breakfast is, by far, the best part of the day! And the best breakfast around…a stack of Buttermilk Pancakes!
Buttermilk Pancakes
They’re simple, light and fluffy, slightly sweet (you can definitely make them sweeter with syrup!), and they’re so easy to make! No need for pancake mix, these are HOMEMADE! Better than any mix, plus you probably have the ingredients hanging around your pantry, maybe except for the buttermilk, but that’s an easy fix!
Make Your Own Buttermilk
Make your own. For every cup of milk, add a tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice. Mix well and it’s ready to use! You can definitely use plain milk, but buttermilk adds that tang, a little flavor enhancement! It’s subtle, but definitely is missed.
Start Your Day Flavorful
Add a pat of butter, some maple syrup and nothing is better to start your day! Although, you can add a little more flavor if you’d like.
- Chocolate chips
- Blueberries
- Bananas
- Peanut butter
- Cinnamon
- Oatmeal
- Lemon zest
- Nutella
- Anything you want!
It’s a blank slate, a perfect vehicle for any flavor.
Or keep them simple and top them with your favorites such as
- Whipped cream
- Berries
- Caramel
- Peanut butter
- Bananas
- Chocolate sauce
- Icing
- Butter
- And the most popular, syrup
