If you’re looking for a simple sauce that packs a punch of flavor, Cilantro Pesto is where it’s at! I know cilantro is one of those love it, or hate it herbs, but in our home, we love it! We just can’t get enough!
This pesto is so crazy delicious. It’s definitely flavorful, and the best part is it’s just a few ingredients. Crazy right?
- Parmesan cheese
- Olive Oil
- Salt and pepper
Cilantro imparts the freshness, and garlic adds, well, amazing garlic flavor, Parmesan cheese is added for some saltiness and more delicious flavor. Don’t forget a quality olive oil. These four ingredients are great together, but it was just a little too bitter and strong for me so I decided to add pecans. They add a touch of much needed sweetness and gives it more body and crunch. Finish with a dash salt and pepper!

How To Make Cilantro Pesto
It’s really quite simple to make. All you need is your ingredients and a food processor or blender and you’ll have your finished pesto in a matter of minutes. The star ingredient, cilantro, is whirled around with garlic, pecans, Parmesan cheese, olive oil and a dash of salt and pepper until smooth. Make it thicker or thinner by adding more or less olive oil. You decided depending on your application of the pesto! Once all the ingredients are twirled together, it’s ready to eat and enjoy!
Cilantro Pesto Recipe
Crazy flavorful sauce that complement many different foods.
- 1 1/2 Cups Cilantro
- 3 Cloves Garlic
- 1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese
- 3/4 - 1 Cup Olive Oil
- 1/3 Cup Pecans
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
Place the cilantro, garlic, Parmesan cheese, pecans into the food processor. Twirl together.
While the food processor is on, stream in the olive oil.
Finish with salt and pepper to taste.
