I love nothing more than my two little long-haired dachshunds, Toaster and Owen! They always, always manage to find a way to light up my day, but they don’t need to do a lot! Just seeing them and their little tails wagging uncontrollably – it just melts my heart!

Although, there is one sure way to make those tails wag again and again! Treats! When the bag is jostled, their ears perk up and they’re in the kitchen in a matter of seconds! I swear they can hear the bag from two miles away, but when it is treat time, I simply pull out Old Mother Hubbard Mini Oven-Baked Dog Biscuits. They are crazy in love with the Extra Tasty Assortment and the Original Assortment.

Your dogs will love them too, so much! Click here to purchase Old Mother Hubbard dog treats in-store or using Online Grocery Pickup (OGP) at Walmart!

Treats Are Tasty

Treats are tasty, but they’re also important, not only for my little guys, but for me too! There is nothing better than seeing my two guys happy. Toaster and Owen are both long-haired Dachshunds that have very different personalities. Toaster is always on his toes, sitting on the edge of his seat and on the lookout. He runs the household and is on a tight schedule. Owen is super laid back, loves to nap and watches from the sidelines. No cares in the world. However, they both agree on one thing – food. They both jump for joy for a tasty treat!

Old Mother Hubbard has a variety of tasty dog treats, but today I chose:

Each biscuit is slowly oven-baked to preserve the natural flavors from the all-natural ingredients used. A tried and true recipe with attention to detail, Old Mother Hubbard has been making dogs happy since 1926 – 94 years! That why I’m always excited to give my little doxies treats!

Summertime Pupsicles

I am a baker myself and am always in the kitchen. Nothing gets my Dachshunds more excited than possibly “hearing” a snack. I am sure you know! They will drop anything they are doing and come, at least, find out if there is something for them.

Treating them is fun anytime, but sometimes I like to get creative since I am in the kitchen a lot and surprise them with something special. Old Mother Hubbard treats are always great just as they are, but sometimes it’s fun to get creative and switch things up!

One of Toaster and Owen’s favorite treats, especially during summer is ice cream! Keeps their paws and tummies cool! They love dairy, more than anything, and chicken, so I created a creamy chicken ice cream pupsicle and an Old Mother Hubbard biscuit to garnish! They complement the pupsicles perfectly! I take Greek yogurt and chicken or beef stock and simply stir it together. I pour into molds and freeze until firm. Pop them out, garnish with a dollop of Greek yogurt and a cute tasty Old Mother Hubbard treat and cool your pups off!
