The anticipation for dinner is so exciting when you know you’ll be eating something amazing. When I find out what’s on the menu, it puts me in a good mood and suddenly dinner can’t come soon enough! What’s cooking? Truffle Parmesan Tater-Tots! That’s what! Pure yumminess! They are the more sophisticated version of the tater-tot we all love. I mean, they are fantastic on their own being crispy, golden brown, crazy delicious, but add olive oil, truffle oil, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper and a few sprinkles of green onion… wow! They are completely transformed. Pop them in your mouth, one after another! They’re fantastic…and it’s hard to stop!
They are so easy to make and bring your meal to the next level… and they are super easy to overindulge in. My husband loves to make them as a side to hamburgers, steak, pulled pork sandwiches or as an appetizer! They’re so quick to make, they’re great as an afternoon snack! There’s always a reason to make these!
Seven Simple Ingredients
It’s seven super simple ingredients and they are lightning fast to make.
Start with your choice of tater-tots. Find them in the frozen section of your local grocery store. If you can find Yukon Gold – they are absolutely amazing – super buttery, but any kind will do! Or if you’re into making your own you can go that route too. Cook them per the package instructions or your favorite way. Add a sprinkle of olive oil, truffle oil, grated Parmesan, a dash of salt and pepper and fresh green onions.
How to make these amazing truffle Parmesan tater-tots!
To start, cook the tater tots – fry them, bake them or an air fryer will work great as well! My current favorite method of cooking just about everything! After they are done place into a medium sized bowl and add a drizzle of olive oil and a small drizzle of truffle oil. Be warned, it does have quite a strong flavor! Add more or less depending on how strong you want the truffle taste, but start out light handed! Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and lastly, add a bit of salt and pepper to taste! Toss in the bowl to coat each and every tot! They’re a bit delicate, so be gentle. Place into a serving dish and garnish with green onions. All the ingredients are to taste, but here is a rough recipe I like to stick to!
These tasty tater-tots literally take the time they take to cook and a minute to dress them up! And no time at all to devour! Try on French Fries too! You’ll definitely want to make them for any and all occasions! The only question is to share or not to share!?
