Buttery, flaky, and the perfect vessel for any pie filling!
Add together the flour, butter, sugar and salt into a bowl or food processor.
Cut the butter into the flour until it resembles a sand like texture.
Add the cold water slowly until it forms a dough that’s not too dry and not too sticky.
Form into a ball and cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes.
Roll out to about a 1/4 inch thick and cut into 2” x 1” strips or into the shapes of your choice.
In a small bowl add about 1/4 cup granulated sugar and cinnamon. Brush the dough with the egg wash (whisked egg with 1 Tbsp of water) and sprinkle liberally with the sugar cinnamon mixture.
Bake at 350°F for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
